Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, accurately processing transactions, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food handling, cashiering, and restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
  • Prepare and serve food items according to established standards and safety guidelines
  • Handle cash transactions efficiently, including cash handling and processing payments through POS systems
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Assist with food preparation when necessary, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
  • Manage multiple tables or orders simultaneously while providing attentive customer service
  • Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to sanitation and food safety protocols
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during shifts

Skills

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; kitchen experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, and basic math skills for cash handling and billing
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
  • Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and restaurant operations
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $15.16-$21.08 per hour
