Job Summary

The Technical System Analyst will support application development, migration, product implementation, integration, and system transformation within the Canadian Wealth and Asset Management industry. The role involves requirements gathering, system analysis, integration documentation, risk assessment, production support, and collaboration with business, vendors, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements and create Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), technical specifications, support documentation, and demos.
  • Facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with business and technical teams.
  • Create system analysis documents after discussions with business and architecture teams.
  • Develop sequence diagrams, system architecture documentation, and system-to-system integration work artifacts.
  • Participate in product refinement and technical review processes; clarify functional questions for agile teams.
  • Define application problems by collaborating with business, third-party vendors, and support teams while evaluating existing processes and procedures.
  • Conduct release demos and manage transition-to-maintenance documentation for support teams.
  • Provide production support for core business systems.

Required Skills

  • Over 8+ years of Systems Analyst experience in application development, migration, product implementation, integration, and transformation.
  • Experience analyzing wealth management products, dealership platforms, databases, APIs, and database queries.
  • Strong Wealth and Asset Management domain knowledge, including Canadian industry experience.
  • Experience gathering integration requirements, business flow design, database requirements, and process mapping.
  • Ability to write PL/SQL queries for data validation and test data setup.
  • Experience in API design, technical contracts, and integration specifications.
  • Middleware exposure, including tools such as MuleSoft, Kafka, Boomi, Tibco, SnapLogic, and OpenAPI/Swagger/RAML.
  • Experience working with JSON/XML payloads, mappings, and error handling.
  • Perform risk assessment analysis and provide improvement recommendations.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, PL/SQL, and project tracking tools.
  • Strong understanding of integration, system workflows, and application behavior.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: $50.00 per hour
