Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our reputable automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto body repair, auto painting, and fabrication, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results. This role involves repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring customer satisfaction through expert craftsmanship and efficient service. Candidates with dealership experience, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency in various tools and techniques will thrive in this position.

Duties

  • Perform collision repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and sheet metal work
  • Conduct auto painting using air paint spraying techniques and finishing with detailing for a flawless appearance
  • Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding methods for structural repairs and fabrication
  • Repair or replace auto glass and perform vehicle maintenance as needed
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting to complete repairs efficiently and safely
  • Fabricate parts or panels when necessary using sheet metal skills and auto restoration techniques
  • Assist in auto estimating procedures to determine repair scope and costs
  • Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and quality expectations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in auto body repair, auto painting, or related automotive fields; dealership experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with MIG welding, fabrication, sheet metal work, soldering, and auto glass repair
  • Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and automotive repair processes
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and airless paint sprayers
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and work on vehicles for extended periods
  • Knowledge of auto restoration techniques and auto estimating procedures is advantageous
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Valid driver's license preferred but not required
