Overview

We are seeking a skilled Skid Steer Operator to join our construction team. This role involves operating heavy equipment to support various construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy machinery and a strong understanding of construction site operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in heavy equipment operation to contribute to diverse projects and advance their skills.

Duties

  • Operate skid steer loaders and other heavy machinery such as dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and pavers to perform tasks including excavation, grading, loading, and material handling.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
  • Support site preparation by moving materials, clearing debris, and performing earthmoving tasks.
  • Follow safety protocols and communicate effectively with team members to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues and performing basic repairs when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating skid steers and other heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and pavers.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Valid class 3 with air driver's license is mandatory for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation on construction sites.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Prior experience in construction or related fields is highly desirable. This role provides an excellent platform for experienced heavy equipment operators seeking to expand their skills within a dynamic construction environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
