Garage Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a part time Shop Helper/Mechanic's Assistant to join our team. In this role you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our Shop. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and develop valuable skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate a forklift to unload deliveries.
- Assist customers loading and unloading their equipment.
- Wash/steam clean customer equipment.
- Grounds maintenance; mowing the lawn, snow removal, spreading salt or sand as required.
- Start and move various types of equipment (lawn tractors, small construction, and material handling equipment).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to enhance efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in English language to effectively communicate with customers and team members
- Experience operating forklifts and small construction equipment such as skid steers would be an asset, but not required.
- A strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently and prioritize workload

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00-$36.70 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
