About Us

My CRM Manager helps organizations implement and support CRM solutions. We maintain and extend our WordPress site and occasionally build client-facing web assets. We're a small, friendly, and diverse team with employees from all over the world.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a based freelance Web Designer with a strong WordPress + PHP background and a real eye for design. You will be great with graphics and colors and transforming content into attractive web content. You'll build/extend custom plugins, harden error handling, and occasionally jump on client-facing tasks—so trustworthiness and clear English communication are essential.

Important: This is not a full-time role. We anticipate roughly ~100 hours per year depending on projects. Ideal for a self-employed developer who takes on contract work.

What You'll Do

  • Translate detailed scopes into well-built, maintainable final products
  • Build and extend custom WordPress plugins (from scratch and via hooks/filters)
  • Implement robust error handling, QA, and edge-case testing
  • Handle SFTP deploys and Git version control workflows
  • Collaborate on making screens visually attractive and consistent with brand guidelines
  • Triage and complete occasional client-facing tasks with care, discretion, and follow-through
  • (Bonus) Assist across IIS and Linux server environments as needed

Must-Have Skills (*)

  • (*) Custom WordPress Plugins (from requirements to production)
  • (*) Expert-level PHP (OOP, namespaces, autoloaders, secure coding practices)
  • (*) Intermediate JavaScript (Vanilla/ES6; WP admin UI enhancements)
  • (*) Strong English (clear written updates; reliable, proactive communication)
  • Taking projects from a detailed scope to polished delivery
  • QA discipline: test plans, edge-case coverage, regression awareness
  • Expanding scopes where we need to ensure proper error handling and resilience

Nice-to-Haves (**)

  • (**) Comfortable with SFTP workflows
  • (**) Git (feature branches, PRs, code reviews)
  • (**) Experience across IIS and Linux servers

  • Portfolio shows attractive, thoughtfully designed websites and admin interfaces
  • Security-minded, discreet, and trustworthy when dealing with client data and environments
  • Organized, detail-oriented, asks good clarifying questions, and communicates ETA/risks early

Hours & Collaboration

  • Project-based work with flexible timing
  • Occasional overlap with North American business hours is helpful for handoffs/reviews
