Key Duties:

  • Complete jobs using a variety of tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order and complete minor maintenance as required
  • Load, unload and transport construction materials
  • Manual labour including but not limited to shoveling, hand digging, raking
  • Proficient fine/finish grading
  • Measure distances from reference points to locate the boundaries of site
  • Understand the issues involving ground disturbance and able to work in and implement safe work practices and contribute to a safe work environment
  • Participate in safety meetings and form completion on a regular basis
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Bulk and detailed excavations, light civil installations
  • Able to read and understand blueprints and detail sections to determine and set grades

Requirements

  • 5000+ hours of skid steer and excavator operation
  • Clean Driver's Abstract
  • Must meet a minimum of 2 out of 3 of the following criteria:
  • Civil Construction Experience Hours)
  • Experience Running Large Equipment Hours)
  • Fluent with all Small Equipment Hours)
  • Trades education an asset
  • Skid Steer Loader Operator Certification an asset
  • Excavator Certification an asset
  • First Aid Certification an asset
  • Heavy Trailer Endorsement (Learners)

Compensation Package:

  • Hourly wage of $30-40/hour based on experience
  • Overtime available
  • 4% Vacation Pay, paid out on every cheque
