Responsibilities

  • Assist senior estimators with quantity take-offs and cost estimates
  • Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents
  • Help prepare bid packages and pricing spreadsheets
  • Contact suppliers and subcontractors for pricing
  • Maintain organized bid files and cost databases
  • Support project handoff from estimating to operations

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Basic understanding of civil/site construction is an asset
  • Proficient with Excel (experience with HeavyBid is a plus)
  • Proficient with take off and use of blue beam or similar
  • Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to think critically and ask the right questions
  • Valid driver's license

  • Annual Salary: Starting $75-$90K. Salary will depend on experience
