We pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere and dedication to meeting our customer's needs. We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Baker to join our team

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and knead dough according to our traditional recipe and standards.
  • Operate and maintain the pita oven and related baking equipment.
  • Shape, proof, and bake pita bread to a consistent standard of quality, color, and texture.
  • Monitor oven temperature and baking times to ensure a perfect product every time.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Manage inventory of ingredients and report any shortages to management.
  • Package and prepare fresh pita for display and sale in our retail store.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient production and timely completion of orders.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a baker, with experience in baking pita or other flatbreads is an asset.
  • Knowledge of traditional pita baking methods and techniques is an asset.
  • Familiarity with commercial baking equipment, including large-scale dough mixers and ovens.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy bags of flour, and work in a hot environment.
  • A passion for baking and a commitment to producing a high-quality product.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
