Larlyn Property Management is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to support our growing portfolio. This role works closely with senior leadership and is responsible for new property budgets, full-cycle financial reporting, and analysis across residential and commercial, condominium properties.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements for a mixed residential and commercial, condominium portfolios.
  • Prepare financial statements and analysis to support business development, new client transitions, and new property account setups.
  • Monitor variances, trends, and financial performance to support informed decision-making.
  • Review and finalize the narrative/management discussion section of monthly financial reports.
  • Supervise monthly owner distributions and maintain cash-flow tracking

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Manage the budget process for new developments and support Larlyn's client budget cycle, including attending client meetings as required.
  • Support business development and onboarding of new clients by preparing budget models, financial summaries, and transition analyses.
  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of new property budgets and annual operating budgets.

Systems & Process Management

  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reviews.
  • Ensure systems and financial setups are aligned during new account transitions to support accurate reporting and operations.

Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have (or be pursuing):

  • A recognized accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA) or active progression toward one.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in property management, real estate, or portfolio accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas); is required
  • Yardi experience is an asset
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, approachable style.
