About the Role

We are looking for a knowledgeable, communicative, and proactive
Child Behavior Specialist

to support Playmove's institutional clients including schools, clinics, therapy centers and homeschooling. This role applies behavioral expertise to ensure our solutions are effectively implemented and optimized across diverse educational settings. The specialist will also represent Playmove at industry events, client meetings, and training sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Support client success by aligning Playmove's solutions with evidence-based behavioral strategies.
  • Guide schools and clinics in using Playmove tools to enhance outcomes for neurodivergent children.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert in events, product demos, and training sessions.
  • Provide insights to internal teams to improve pedagogical content and product design.
  • Monitor and document the impact of Playmove's ecosystem on behavior, engagement, and learning outcomes.
  • Assist in preparing case studies and success stories.
  • Review and analyze provincial curriculum standards to identify key cognitive, motor, social, and emotional development goals for each age group.
  • Evaluate Playmove's current games to ensure they meet relevant educational objectives.
  • Collaborate with the product and design teams to recommend improvements or design new games aligned with curriculum goals and inclusive education best practices.
  • Contribute to the creation of pedagogical guides to support teachers in using our games in the classroom.
  • Validate game content and user experience for children with a wide range of learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, and intellectual or motor disabilities.
  • Participate in user testing and collect behavioral and educational feedback from educators and students.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), with strong professional communication skills.
  • Advanced degree (Master's or equivalent) in Behavioral Therapy, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working directly with or advising schools, clinics, or educational institutions focused on neurodiverse populations.
  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, or advising on inclusive education strategies or behavior intervention programs.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with experience training or mentoring educators or therapists.
  • Ability to interpret behavioral data and learning outcomes, and translate them into strategic recommendations for product and curriculum alignment.
  • Proficiency with educational technology platforms, remote collaboration tools, and experience contributing to cross-functional product teams.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Salary:

CAD $108,000 (CAD $9,000 per month), paid monthly via payroll and subject to statutory deductions (CPP, EI, and income tax).
- Vacation & Leaves:

Entitled to four (4) weeks of paid vacation per year, as well as all applicable public holidays and leaves of absence in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA) and Company policy.
- Paid Sick Leave:

Eligible for three (3) paid sick days per calendar year, after two (2) consecutive weeks of employment, in compliance with the ESA. Sick days reset every January 1 and do not carry over.
- Benefits:

Eligible to participate in the Company-sponsored benefits program (health, dental, and others) once implemented, in accordance with plan terms and eligibility requirements.

Work Hours & Location

  • Standard Workweek:

40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or as reasonably required by the role.
- Meal Period:

Employees are entitled to a 30-minute unpaid meal break beginning at 12:00 p.m., in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA).
- Work Location:

This is a full-time, in-person position based at City Center Drive, Mississauga, ON, L5B 1M3, in accordance with the Company's Work Location Policy.
- Remote Work:

Remote work may be permitted only under exceptional circumstances and requires prior written approval from management. When authorized, the Employee must maintain a safe and ergonomically appropriate workspace and comply with all Company policies regarding confidentiality, privacy, and health and safety.

Employment is subject to Playmove's disciplinary and termination policies, administered in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA).
