We are currently hiring for a Child and Youth Worker (CYW) in our Mississauga location for various shifts.

We are seeking a professional and dedicated Child and Youth Worker (Relief) to join our team in Mississauga, Canada. This critical role involves providing essential support to children and youth with special needs, facilitating their development and well-being in both community and home environments.

• Provide comprehensive support to children and youth with special needs, including assistance with essential daily living tasks such as meal preparation, personal care, and community integration
• Implement structured recreational activities designed to enhance social and life skills development
• Utilize advanced conflict resolution techniques and problem-solving strategies to address challenging situations
• Execute harm reduction protocols to effectively de-escalate and stabilize clients exhibiting high-risk behaviors or experiencing crisis
• Strictly adhere to established care plans and meticulously complete all required administrative duties, including the preparation of detailed incident reports and daily logs
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery
• Rigorously implement Safety Plans and Client Care Plans as mandated
• Demonstrate flexibility in working various shifts, including evenings and weekends, to meet client needs and organizational requirements

• Human Services Diploma or related field
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with individuals diagnosed with ASD, mental health conditions, or special needs
• Valid certification in crisis intervention
• Current First Aid and CPR Level C certification
• Vulnerable Sector Search, Criminal Background Check, and Child Welfare Check
• Strong communication skills and ability to write clear, concise reports
• Proficiency in managing difficult behaviors and implementing de-escalation techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Physical ability to assist clients with mobility needs
• Emotional resilience and effective stress management skills
• Valid G License and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred)
• Flexibility to work various shifts with minimal notice
• Genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of children and youth with special needs
