Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mechanical Design Engineer/Technologist located in St. Catharines, ON. The individual in this role will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems, utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the testing and improvement of new and existing products. Responsibilities also include prototyping, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in Design Engineering, Machine Design, and Product Design
  • Proficiency with Mechanical Engineering principles and practices
  • Proven experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for design and modeling
  • Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and solve complex mechanical problems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with interdisciplinary teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field
  • Experience in agricultural technology or food safety industries is an asset
