. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is professional, observant, and confident in handling dynamic situations within a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols across hospital grounds, including entrances, parking lots, and wards.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and alarm panels to maintain facility security.
  • Control and log access to restricted areas, ensuring compliance with hospital policy.
  • Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies with sound judgment and professionalism.
  • Provide assistance to staff and visitors while maintaining a courteous and approachable demeanor.
  • De-escalate conflicts using non-violent crisis intervention techniques.
  • Document incidents and maintain detailed reports as per Paladin protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with hospital staff, first responders, and law enforcement when required

Requirements
*Requirements (Must Have)*

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (WSIB-approved)
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses)
  • Immunization records for MMR, Varicella, and 2-step TB skin test
  • Valid G Class Driver's License
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Availability for Continental Rotating Schedule (days/nights/weekends)

  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
