Schedule: Continental Rotating (Days/Nights)
Pay Rate: $20.03/hour

This vital role helps protect patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining a safe and welcoming healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is professional, observant, and confident in handling dynamic situations with empathy and respect.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular patrols across hospital grounds, including entrances, parking areas, and wards.
  • Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to ensure facility safety and policy compliance.
  • Control access to restricted areas and verify identification as needed.
  • Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies with professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Assist patients, staff, and visitors courteously while maintaining situational awareness.
  • De-escalate conflicts using non-violent crisis intervention techniques.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports following Paladin protocols.
  • Collaborate with hospital personnel, first responders, and law enforcement as required.

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (WSIB-approved provider)
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses)
  • Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and 2-step TB skin test
  • Valid G Class Driver's License
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Availability for Continental Rotating Schedule (days/nights/weekends)
Nice to Have
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
