IT Project Manager

An organization is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support the successful delivery of information technology projects from initiation through completion within a large, complex environment. The role is responsible for coordinating all project activities, establishing timelines, assigning tasks, and tracking progress to ensure objectives related to scope, budget, quality, and timelines are achieved. Close collaboration with business and IT leadership, project sponsors, vendors, and cross-functional teams is essential to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and organizational priorities, supported by clear, timely communication and regular status reporting to senior management and governance bodies.

The position manages multiple concurrent projects and associated resources while operating within established project management office standards and governance frameworks. Responsibilities include developing project charters, business and project plans, schedules, forecasts, and requirements documentation; identifying risks, dependencies, and resource needs; and guiding teams through delivery using formal project life cycle methodologies. The role is also accountable for stakeholder engagement, client satisfaction, change management, issue escalation, and post-implementation assessment to confirm outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 4 years - project management experience supported by a university degree in business, management, or a related discipline
• 6 years - project management experience supported by a two-year diploma in business, management, or a related discipline
• 7 years - project management experience supported by a one-year certificate in business, management, or a related discipline
• 8 years - project management experience without formal post-secondary credentials
• 6 years - experience defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders
• 8 years - experience developing project deliverables including project charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs, and project closures
• 8 years - experience managing multiple projects concurrently
• 6 years - experience managing large, complex custom software application development projects
• 5 years - experience conducting and interpreting impact and risk assessments across multiple scenarios
• 4 years - experience creating and managing project forecasts using Microsoft Project
• 5 years - experience developing and maintaining effective relationships across an organization, including executive leadership
• 8 years - experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels
• 5 years - experience leading change management and communication planning
• 2 years - experience coordinating large-scale information management or information technology initiatives
• 0 years - demonstrated ability to problem solve, manage stress and conflict, and work independently and collaboratively
• 0 years - excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships with teams, management, and vendors

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.34-$104.33 per hour
