Experience/Education: Grade 12 Diploma, 1-2 years of related experience in reception, customer service, logistics, and order processing. Advanced English skills (reading and writing) required.

Starting Wage: From $20.00/hour

Main Responsibilities:

To provide exceptional reception and customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Duties Include (but not limited to):

Customer Service

  • Process customer orders, purchase orders, and invoicing accurately and efficiently
  • Communicate with customers, brokers, and sales teams regarding orders, pricing, and delivery schedules
  • Confirm back orders and low margins with Sales
  • Entering price increases and contracts
  • Assist with sample orders, shipping manifests, and product specification sheets
  • Coordinate appointments and shipments with outside storage and logistics
  • Maintain the general filing system and file all correspondence related to customer accounts and transactions

Reception

  • Answer phones, transfer calls, take messages and relay them to appropriate personnel/facility
  • Use photocopier, printer, fax machine
  • Helping Walk-in-Customers (incl. payment transactions)
  • Taking Customer/Sales Orders over the phone
  • Entering and photocopying Inventory reports
  • Incoming and outgoing mail
  • Office inventory
  • Stocking office cooler, freezer, etc.
  • Cross Training every Office Position (Reception, Customer Service, AP, AR, etc)
  • Covering Holidays for Office Positions

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12 (secondary school)
  • 1–2 years of related experience in reception, customer service, logistics, and order processing
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Operate office equipment, including photocopiers, scanners, fax machines, labellers, and computers, with accuracy and confidence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Schedule: Full-time: 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday

Commitment Requirements:

This is a Monday–Friday, full-time position. Unless you are confident that you can commit to this schedule consistently, this job may not be the right fit for you.
