Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to oversee daily operations at our bustling bar and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food and beverage service, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Previous experience in restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel settings is highly valued, along with familiarity with food preparation, cooking, and POS systems such as Micros POS.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the bar and restaurant team to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling processes to meet safety standards
  • Manage customer service interactions to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Micros POS
  • Supervise staff interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and health standards
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the bar and kitchen areas
  • Manage inventory levels for beverages, food supplies, and bar stock
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve service quality
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff on food orders, specials, and menu updates
  • Uphold hospitality standards by creating an inviting atmosphere for guests

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality roles; supervising experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food industry practices including food preparation, cooking, serving, and food safety protocols
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Experience in food handling, restaurant experience, kitchen experience, and hospitality environments including hotel or barista experience is advantageous
  • Ability to oversee food service operations while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership qualities that include supervising staff, interviewing candidates, and managing team dynamics
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory management
