K'(Prime)'s capabilities encompass chemistry, commercial security, scientific instrument sales, and airport imaging services, including X-ray and millimetre-wave imaging.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Technical Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator to oversee end-to-end operations at our warehouse. This role requires an individual with strong technical knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in challenging weather conditions.
The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, and janitorial duties, with a proven track record of safe and efficient driving. You will be responsible for managing inventory and maintaining an accurate database.
Collaboration between the Warehouse and Service Technicians is essential to support and foster positive results for our Imaging Operations Team. This position also entails maintaining a high level of customer service, as well as performing various record-keeping tasks and generating reports to enhance business efficiency and uphold best practices.
The successful candidate must be capable of reading schedules and dispatching the appropriate technicians based on requirements, while following established processes and remaining flexible to accommodate changes caused by delays, inventory issues, or technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control:
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping goods.
- Maintain accurate stock levels by setting and managing Min/Max levels to ensure continuous operations.
- Conduct cycle counts and complete inventory audits, reconciling any discrepancies.
- Organize and optimize the warehouse layout for maximum space utilization.
- Ensure the warehouse remains clean and well-organized, including janitorial and cleaning tasks.
2) Logistics & Driving
- Deliver and pick up materials as needed using a company vehicle.
- Be certified to operate a forklift safely.
- Maintain a clean driving record and follow all transportation regulations.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks.
- Drive outdoors in winter weather conditions.
3) Other Responsibilities
- Receive calls and dispatch relevant information to the appropriate technician based on the schedule.
- Support and engage the technician team by providing the proper resources.
- Maintain records and monitor returns to vendors through defined processes.
- Reprioritize warehouse and service call jobs as needed to meet customer commitments.
- Take initiative to ensure warehouse and service coordination projects stay on track.
- Maintain accuracy within the warehouse Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Complete documentation and reports promptly and concisely.
- Consult professionally with on-site staff and partners.
- Adhere to the company's health, safety, and environmental policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License with Driver's Abstract (Class 5) — must demonstrate a clean driving history of at least three years (insurance purposes).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse or logistics coordination.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) is an asset.
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labour, including cleaning and janitorial tasks.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
- Occasional extended hours based on operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in warehouse or logistics management or a related technical field.
- WHMIS, forklift, or first aid certification.
