With operations spanning Australia, India, and now North America through Planitar, REA Group is transforming how people experience property globally. As part of the REA family, Planitar is accelerating growth in new markets while continuing our commitment to innovation and customer value. This acquisition brings together iGUIDE's industry-leading 3D capture technology with REA Group's extensive property platform expertise and market reach, enabling us to deliver more immersive, data-rich property experiences for consumers across Australia.

About the Role

The Senior Product Manager role will play a key role in advancing joint initiatives between Planitar and REA Group. This role will lead projects that support REA's strategic priorities and drive the integration of iGUIDE's technology into the Australian real estate market. This position is based in Canada and involves frequent collaboration with REA teams in Australia, requiring participation in meetings typically held between 6:30 p.m. and 9:00p.m. EST. To better align with REA's working hours, we are open to candidates located on the West Coast of Canada, where time zone overlap is more favorable.

As a member of the Product Management team, you will own a portfolio of products and services, being responsible for their growth and maturity. You will serve as the nucleus for gathering, organizing, and presenting market and internal feedback for your portfolio and translating them into product objectives and enhancements. You will also be accountable for ensuring that the enhancements we release are both valuable to our customers and viable for our business. With your strategic mindset and adept organizational skills, you will prioritize development initiatives, aligning them with market demands, revenue goals, and technological capabilities. You will actively contribute to shaping product plans, roadmaps and influencing cross-functional teams to drive success for the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute product strategies aligned with the company's overarching vision.

  • Gather and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to inform product enhancements and features.

  • Collaborate with the Product team and Senior Management to formulate comprehensive product plans and roadmaps.

  • Actively contribute to forming and maintaining a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • Craft and review product scope, ensuring clarity and alignment with strategic objectives.

  • Oversee product launches, ensuring value is delivered in a timely manner to our customers.

  • Offer creative insights to expand the product portfolio and vision.

  • Monitor product usage and evaluate its impact on end-users.

  • Help build and scale a product team from scratch alongside the Director of Product.

  • Manage cross-product initiatives across multiple product lines, not limited to a single product.

  • Act as the primary liaison to REA Group's Australian team, owning the product relationship and integration.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 4 years of experience in a product management role building technology products.

  • Demonstrates experience balancing conflicting priorities and making decisions despite ambiguity.

  • Experience collaborating across time zones with distributed product teams.

  • Ability to collaborate, lead through influence without authority, and foster teamwork (ideally in a remote or hybrid environment).

  • Experience in process improvement. Iterating and advancing the customer discovery process and collaborating with engineering leadership to improve iterative delivery processes.

  • Experience bringing products to market and leading post-launch improvements.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

  • Strong orientation toward data and evidence. Willingness to question the status quo.

Location & Hours

This is a remote role based in Canada. Due to this role requiring overlap with our global team, candidates on the West Coast or with flexibility to work Eastern evening hours (6–9 PM EST) will be best aligned with our global collaboration needs.

Why Join Planitar?

You'll be part of a supportive and fast-moving engineering culture, working on real-world products that blend hardware and software in innovative ways. Your leadership will help shape how our teams build, deliver, and grow our platform.
