About This Role As part of Intersect's Land Acquisition team, you'll help secure site control for multiple large-scale projects by navigating complex real estate workstreams with speed, accuracy, and strategic insight. You'll collaborate across Development, Permitting, Legal, and field teams to translate evolving project needs into executed agreements that keep projects on track. This role demands agility, strong technical competency, and the ability to operate confidently amid ambiguity while maintaining high standards of data integrity and stakeholder communication.
Team Overview This team plays a critical role in advancing Intersect's mission to accelerate the clean energy transition by identifying, securing, and managing the land positions that enable our large-scale projects to move forward. The work is highly cross-functional, fast-moving, and essential to project success. Team members gain deep exposure to land strategy, project development, real estate structures, and cross-functional collaboration—developing skills that grow with the scale and impact of Intersect's portfolio.
What You'll Do
Lead Land Agreement Execution
• Support negotiation, preparation, and closing of land agreements—including leases, purchases, easements, surface waivers, and more
• Partner with internal and external legal teams to ensure documentation accuracy and timely routing through workflows
• Coordinate with field teams to ensure agreements are implemented and executed on schedule
Resolve Title & Survey Issues
• Lead key stages of land acquisition by identifying, assessing, and resolving title, mineral, and survey concerns
• Work with third-party experts, internal counsel, and stakeholders to remove blockers and maintain project momentum
Manage Third-Party Land Agents
• Support oversight of land agents and document specialists, reinforcing expectations for communication, data quality, and alignment with project standards
• Provide structured feedback and maintain consistent documentation of progress and performance
Maintain Data Accuracy & Reporting
• Manage land-related data systems, ensuring accuracy through diligent tracking, auditing, and documentation
• Prepare analytical summaries for internal stakeholders and contribute materials for executive-level presentations
Strengthen Cross-Functional Alignment
• Collaborate with Development and Permitting Teams to align land acquisition timelines with project schedules and permitting requirements
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency, data integrity, and the effectiveness of the broader land function
• Provide targeted support to Managers and Directors on regional priorities and active project work
What You'll Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Land Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in real estate development or acquisition, ideally within energy or large-scale infrastructure
• Strong understanding of real estate agreements—Surface and Mineral—including leases, easements, and purchase agreements
• Ability to adjust quickly to evolving project priorities and maintain momentum across multiple high-priority workstreams
• Proven project management capabilities in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments
• Familiarity with land, environmental, or policy frameworks relevant to large-scale development
• Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Slack, Google Earth, and GIS tools
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to distill complexity for diverse partners
• Self-directed work style with strong problem-solving instincts
• A passion for advancing clean energy development and contributing to long-term project success
