Industrial Mechanical Technician

Position Description:
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance and demonstrate exceptional mechanical and electrical knowledge. This role is crucial in ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment, contributing to overall operational efficiency. The Equipment Technician will work closely with various departments to provide technical support and maintain equipment functionality.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, utilizing schematics and logic controllers.
- Fabricate and weld components as necessary to ensure equipment reliability.
- Respond promptly to equipment-related inquiries and concerns.install new equipment, and maintain current equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance operational processes and improve equipment performance.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Understand process and document control for maintenance repairs, reports, and ordering.
- Be available for oncall during off shift times for emergency situations.
- Clean, drain, and repair hydroforming press line and all components.
- Have impeccable attendance and drive to continuously develop your career and personal growth.
- Co-operate and support a fluid automotive stamping manufacturing facility with the changing and evolving business needs to support our customers.
Experience and Skills required:
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and industrial electrician practices is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills. Troubleshoot equipment in need of repairs and for system improvements.
- Ability to work with minimal to no supervision an asset. As well as being a self starter with the ability to take the initiative.
- Must be able to work on a Days/Afternoon 2 week rotational shift schedule
- Ensure that repairs meet all standards of work requirements and are completed quickly and efficiently
- Follows and adheres to requirements of current customer quality and environmental management systems standards
- Candidate must have exceptional organizational, reporting and communication skills and be able to think out of the box, with attention to detail and problem solving abilities.
- Robotic maintenance experience would be a strong asset - FANUC or similar preferred
- Controls experience would be a strong assets - VFD, PLCs, HMI, Allen Bradley or similar
