JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose

To support the execution of internal audits, assessing the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. To analyze data, document findings, and collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring Sysco's operations are efficient, compliant, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare clear and concise audit workpapers, documenting the audit procedures performed, findings identified, and supporting evidence gathered.
  • Assist in identifying and assessing risks within various business processes and operations, evaluating the design and effectiveness of internal controls to mitigate those risks.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential areas of risk or control weakness.
  • Assist in preparing audit reports and presentations, summarizing audit findings, recommendations, and management responses.
  • Ensures integrity of the physical count of the in-house inventory in accordance with
    FAMM.
  • Completes a minimum of four (4) cyclical counts per year; one full count per
    quarter.
  • Counts all pre-designated high dollar items, prepares research and reports these
    counts. Notifies proper personnel of problems that may occur when adjusting these
    items.
  • Researches receiving packets returned to Inventory Control from Accounts Payable. Prepares and reports to Inventory Control Manager any errors that may have
    occurred.
  • Reviews and adjusts all damage reports given to Inventory Control by Operations
    and compares those reports with actual damage in warehouse.
  • Researches and corrects possible shipping problems reported to Inventory Control.
  • Comply with all applicable regulations/laws and company policies
  • Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures
    (SOPs) comprising Sysco's Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.
  • Assist Food Safety Program Manager in ensuring compliance to Sysco's Food Safety
    Program that leads to compliance with third party certification and customer
    requirements.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
