We are looking for a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team. They will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of dump trucks and other heavy-duty equipment. This role requires strong technical expertise in diesel engines, hydraulics, welding, electrical systems, and mechanical components. The mechanic ensures all equipment remains safe, reliable, and compliant with company and industry standards.

Key Roles & Duties

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic issues on dump trucks and other heavy-duty equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and full services, including oil changes, filters, fluid checks, lubrication, and scheduled inspections.
  • Conduct welding, cutting, and basic fabrication to repair or modify equipment as required.
  • Adjust, repair, and replace brake systems, clutches, drivetrains, suspensions, and steering components.
  • Troubleshoot engine performance issues, including fuel systems, emission controls, and cooling systems.
  • Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and safety concerns; identify and report required repairs.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation before returning to service.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service intervals.
  • Operate diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and shop machinery safely and effectively.
  • Respond to field service calls to repair breakdowns onsite when required.
  • Follow all safety procedures, ensuring equipment is repaired to safe operating standards.
  • Ability to perform brake adjustments, clutch repairs, drivetrain work, and suspension maintenance.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
