Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in repairing and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery, including trucks ,trailers. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will ensure that all equipment operates safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime and supporting operational productivity.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair various types of heavy equipment such as truc, trailers, forklifts.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance
- Utilize welding skills for repairs and fabrication as needed
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Operate power tools safely to disassemble, repair, or assemble machinery parts
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues and improve equipment reliability
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during all repair activities
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment maintenance and repair
- Dealership experience is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment, automotive repair, HVAC systems, and electrical systems
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic charts effectively
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Strong customer service skills when interacting with clients or internal teams
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
