About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Data Analyst to join our Wireless Service & Equipment Finance team in Toronto. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards, providing insightful analysis of wireless revenue and usage KPIs, and supporting strategic decision-making through data storytelling.

This position requires a strong technical background in data management, visualization, and statistical analysis, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams including finance, sales, and IT. The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and analyzing large datasets from multiple sources, creating financial scorecards, and automating reporting processes to drive business insights and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analytics and business intelligence, preferably within the telecommunications industry
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data mining tools
• Advanced experience with Tableau or other BI visualization tools (Power BI, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of database architecture fundamentals and best practices
• Hands-on experience with financial and marketing data, including KPIs and business case analysis
• Experience in designing and developing dashboards, reports, and data models
• Proficiency in analytical techniques such as attribution modeling, testing, and experimental design
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting with senior leadership
• Ability to construct datasets, ensure data quality, and perform statistical analysis

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards to visualize wireless service and equipment revenue, usage, and KPI trends
• Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from various sources to support financial and operational decision-making
• Create weekly and monthly financial scorecards, providing insights into key drivers and performance metrics
• Develop and automate complex reports and financial models using SQL, Python, Excel, and other analytical tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Sales, IT, and Marketing to gather data requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Investigate data discrepancies and resolve data corruption issues to maintain data integrity
• Lead special projects and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and process improvements
• Partner with IT to identify optimal data sources and ensure data accuracy and consistency
• Present insights and findings effectively to senior leadership, translating data into compelling stories
