Role Description
Better Choice Group Homes is seeking a full-time Finance Officer for an on-site position located in Brampton, ON. The Finance Officer will oversee the preparation, validation, and analysis of financial statements and reports. Key responsibilities include budgeting, managing financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, preparing accurate reports, and providing financial insights to support decision-making. This role also requires close collaboration with the leadership team to maintain financial efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements and financial reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Deep knowledge of finance principles and budget management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey financial information clearly
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (experience with relevant accounting software is an asset)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CPA or equivalent are an asset
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment and ensure confidentiality
