We are currently looking for compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as Funeral Director Assistants. This casual position offers flexibility and is perfect for retirees, or people looking to make a difference during a challenging time for families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive professional vehicles (Limousine and Hearse)
  • Assist family members and clergy to and from various locations as needed, ensuring a compassionate and safe experience.
  • Offer assistance to passengers as they enter and exit the vehicle, including help with any personal belongings.
  • Drive to various locations including funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries, ensuring the safe transport of families.
  • Serve as a pallbearer during services to honor the deceased.
  • Assist with parking vehicles in funeral home parking lots and provide a warm greeting to friends and family during visitations.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure that the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked with necessary equipment.
  • Follow and take direction from the funeral director/funeral home staff. Always available to the funeral director during the service.
  • Submit maintenance requests of professional vehicles and report any issues, warning lights etc when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the funeral industry is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates from all backgrounds.
  • Must have a clean driving record and the ability to operate funeral coaches and limousines.
  • Ability to lift heavy weights and assist as needed.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in all-weather elements.
