About the Role
Director of Programs Nankind
The Nankind Program Director will play a crucial role in steering our mission focused programs of lessening the impact of cancer on families. You will act as a catalyst, ensuring Nankind's programs align with our mission and strategic goals. You will oversee the development and implementation of program strategies, collaborate with stakeholders and monitor program effectiveness. You will manage program operations including budgeting, staff recruitment and retention and compliance. You will play a key role in driving the success and impact of Nankind's programs.
Key Responsibilities
As the Nankind program Director you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our programs. Your responsibilities include overseeing program development and implementation, managing program operations and resources, building and maintaining community relationships and program advocacy.
· Lead the implementation of organizational and operational strategies to support NAN's business plan.
· Develop and implement systems and services to facilitate highly effective day to day operations and delivery of services.
· Design Program Initiatives, protocols and activities.
· Monitor and evaluate Program Effectiveness inclusive of research projects.
· Collaborate with individuals and organizations in the community to further Nankind's mission
· Lead human resourcing and general staff management, including recruitment, training & development of staff, development of team goals and performance management of the organization.
· Development of the annual budget in coordination with the Executive Director and Finance Committee.
· Prepare regular financial reporting and conduct cost analysis to maximize impact of funding
· Responsibility for creating the program budget and monitoring through review of expenses.
· Create opportunities for student internships and experiences
· Network and engage with community partners to further support for Nankind
· Cultivate relationships with program participants
· Responsible for ensuring service standards reflect NAN's brand, mission and best practices.
· Responsible for the timely collection of data to meet objectives as outlined in funding commitments.
· Prepare performance reports for the Board and Stakeholders.
Requirements:
5 years of senior management experience preferably at the Director level
Experience leading a highly engaged team
Program development and evaluation
Experience building a custom CRM
Budget and finance experience
Understanding of the Not for Profit landscape in Ontario
MBA, Not for Profit Management Certificate an asset.
