YOUR IMPACT

A Senior Proposal Specialist role at OpenText is more than just a job, it's an opportunity to impact lives. As a key contributor, you'll be instrumental in constructing cutting-edge information management solutions that contribute in supporting the preparation and creation of proposals to support OpenText sales opportunities. Duties include managing qualified proposal projects through the entire proposal lifecycle from intake of the assignment to the final delivery of the completed material to the customer.

What The Role Offers

  • Manage overall RFI, RFQ, RFP, and other questionnaire activities – from initial receipt to the Bid-No Bid call to final submission – to ensure an on-time submission
  • Proactively manage a workload that includes responsibility for multiple proposal assignments and other tasks, as required, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Take responsibility for driving the proposal process and ensuring critical milestones and all deadlines are met, as well as coordinating reviews with key stakeholders providing final quality assurance and adherence to department, corporate and legal compliance
  • Review and analyze customer requirements, create outline of tasks and schedule of events
  • Participate in team alignment calls and strategy discussions to clarify scope of work, gain insights into the business opportunity, understand key messages/differentiators and develop win themes
  • Coordinate the contributions of the contributing team members (i.e., sales, solution engineers, product, strategy, IT Security and other SMEs, as needed) to develop high quality, compliant responses that put OpenText in the best position to win
  • Create the customer response template and manage project workflow through the RFP process (i.e., draft, review, approval)
  • Prepare final document for submission; format, proofread and edit for accuracy, clarity and readability
  • Train Sales and other cross-functional organizations on proposal best practices, policies, and procedures
  • Assist in management of our proposal content library to include the most timely, consistent, and currently relevant market, product, and company information

What You Need To Succeed

  • 3+ years Proposal management experience in the enterprise software or high-tech industry is preferred
  • Ability to easily adapt and learn new software and processes
  • Ability and desire to work well within a fast-paced, high-energy, tight-knit team environment
  • Integrity, flexibility, adaptability, a positive attitude, a desire to excel in a high impact, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and a willingness to "do what it takes" to get the job done.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to adhere to strict deadlines
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, additionally experience with a mainstream proposal automation tool and Salesforce is a plus
  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience.
