**Position Overview**: We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Specialist to join our dynamic team at Prime Automation. The Applications Specialist will play a pivotal role in understanding customer requirements, designing tailored automation solutions, and supporting the implementation and integration of our products into client operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and customers to analyze and understand project requirements.
- Develop customized automation solutions that meet client specifications and maximize operational efficiency.
- Provide technical expertise and support during the pre-sales and post-sales phases, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution proposals.
- Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and prototypes to validate proposed automation solutions.
- Assist in configuring and testing automation systems to ensure functionality and performance meet customer expectations.
- Document project requirements, specifications, and outcomes accurately.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve product offerings and service delivery.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMI (Human Machine Interface) systems, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), and industrial robotics.
- Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
