What is the job?

We are looking for some for ambitious students or former students to join the Bristow team as a Junior/Intermediate Technician. In this role you will be exposed to the many different aspects of the instruments that keep aircraft flying. Don't know anything about aviation but have strong electronic or mechanical repair aptitude? No problem - our training and mentorship programs will set you on a course to work on different instruments so you can choose your career path and work towards becoming a generalist or an expert on specific instruments. Please not this is not an industrial instrumentation position.

Who are you?

The following are just some of the things we look for in a strong candidate:

  • 1 – 3 years of technical experience
  • Experience with, and ability to, read and interpret repair manuals
  • High school diploma and post-secondary education
  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and individually
  • Problem solver with a positive go-getter attitude
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Electronic component level soldering and troubleshooting.
  • Fine motor skills
  • Any experience repairing aircraft instruments, components, electronics, tools or test equipment is an asset.
  • Ability to pass a security screening

What are you going to do?

  • Test, repair, and overhaul various aircraft instruments, electronics and components (gyroscope, altimeter, tachometer, etc.)
  • Interpret repair manuals
  • Repair and test aviation test equipment and precision tools.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of shop tooling and test equipment
  • Manage workflow and paperwork associated with repairs
