About Loombotic

We're reimagining how wire harnesses are manufactured. Backed by Y Combinator, we're on a mission to build the world's first fully automated wire harness factory.

Wire harnesses are the nervous systems of everything from EVs to aircraft to data centers. Despite being a $200B+ market, manufacturing is still surprisingly manual and inefficient. We're changing that through building robotics and automation.

The Role

As our founding Quality Assurance Technician, you'll be the guardian of product excellence in our automated factory. This is a hands-on role where you'll perform inspections, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure every wire harness meets the highest standards.

You'll work closely with technicians and engineers, providing real-time feedback to refine our robotic processes and catch issues early.

What You'll Do

  • Perform quality inspections - Visual checks, measurements, and continuity testing on wire harness assemblies
  • Operate testing equipment - Use multimeters, pull testers, and automated inspection tools to verify specs
  • Document defects - Log issues, perform root cause analysis, and track trends for process improvements
  • Support production - Inspect incoming materials and finished products; quarantine non-conforming items
  • Calibrate tools - Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment for accuracy
  • Provide feedback - Work with engineers to optimize automation for better quality yields
  • Train on standards - Help document and enforce IPC/WHMA-A-620 and other quality protocols

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and eye for precision
  • Experience with inspection tools (e.g., calipers, multimeters) and basic testing
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • Problem-solving mindset for identifying and reporting defects
  • Good mechanical aptitude and dexterity
  • Reliable and methodical approach to repetitive tasks

Nice-to-Have's

  • Experience in wire harness, cable assembly, or electronics manufacturing
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or familiarity with quality standards
  • Basic knowledge of robotics or automated testing systems
  • Experience with quality software (e.g., data logging tools)
  • Previous hands-on role in manufacturing or QA
