Job Summary

Smitty's Fort St. John is looking for a hardworking and reliable Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. If you take pride in keeping things clean, organized, and running smoothly behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using dishwashing machines or by hand.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing and kitchen areas.
  • Assist with basic food prep or other kitchen tasks as needed.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Support the kitchen team to ensure efficient service during busy periods.

Teamwork & Operations

  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, hosts, bussers, and management.
  • Follow opening, shift change, and closing duties consistently.
  • Restock stations, glassware, condiments, and bar supplies as needed.
  • Comply with all food safety, health, and WorkSafeBC regulations.
  • Support special events, promotions, or high-volume periods as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
  • Food Safe Level 1 certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain).
  • Previous experience in a restaurant environment is an asset but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Able to lift up to 25–30 lbs.
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
