Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and hospitality, with a focus on food preparation and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Previous restaurant, hotel, or kitchen experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced culinary setting.

Duties

  • Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
  • Support cooking activities under supervision to ensure timely meal service
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning
  • Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed to meet safety standards
  • Help with dishwashing and sanitation duties to uphold hygiene standards
  • Organize and restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Support food service staff during busy periods by assisting with serving customers or guests when required
  • Follow all safety protocols and health regulations to maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industries is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards
  • Ability to perform basic food preparation and cooking tasks
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
  • Previous hotel or restaurant experience is considered an asset but not mandatory
