Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Corporate Accountant will be responsible for aiding in the full-cycle accounting process. The Corporate Accountant role will include a mix of transactional work and analytical accounting work such as reconciliations. The successful candidate will be dissatisfied with the status quo and will be constantly on the lookout for better ways to get results. They will be very controls oriented and very focused on accuracy and timeliness of their work. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is working on or has their CPA and is looking to gain accounting experience in a growing and dynamic company.

Key Responsibilities:

· Own the Month-End Close Process

· Conduct accurate reconciliations on key accounts not touched by transactions individual is involved in i.e.: Cash Discount Reconciliation and Inventory reconciliations

· Manage Rebate Program in Business Central and prepare rebate payments to vendors in an accurate and timely manner

· Manage administrative aspect of Pricing

· Own the Year-end close process

· Fixed Assets Accounting – manage our fixed assets and depreciation methodologies

· Accounts Receivable followups

· Sales Price Deviations

· Freight Postings

· Working with the team to strengthen controls

· Other tasks that may be required

Required Skills:

· University degree in business/accounting

· Currently enrolled in the CPA program is an asset

· Strong team player with a ''can-do'' attitude and passion for excellence.

· Strong analytical skills

· Strong organizational skills

· Strong communication skills

· Very comfortable with systems and technology, good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
