Erindale Animal Hospital is proud to be an independent , locally owned Veterinary Hospital providing emergency and in clinic care to small animals including cats, dogs, pocket pets, reptiles and birds to Saskatoon and surrounding area.

Role:

The Ambassador plays a critical role at Erindale Animal Hospital, as you are the first point of contact for existing and potential clients. You will work closely with eh professional care team to provide an exceptional veterinary experience for our clients and their pets. Every trip to the vet is different. Our goal is to provide personalized acre, in a welcoming, compassionate, fear free environment.

Our ideal candidate will be available Monday through Saturday, with flexibility for both day shifts starting at 7:00 AM and afternoon shifts ending at 7:00 PM. We strive to provide a balanced schedule by rotating early shifts one week and late shifts the next, and we also ensure Saturday shifts are fairly rotated among all staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure an exceptional experience for both pets and clients
  • Address client inquires both in person and by phone; managing a multi line system
  • Schedule appointments, place food orders, submit prescription requests
  • Process payments / insurance claims
  • Assist care team with patient triage, hospital care, radiology, etc.
  • Provide guidance on veterinary services including preventative care, vaccination, treatment options, diets, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in customer service / receptionist role
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and emotions
  • Excellent interpersonal / organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong critical thinking / problem solving abilities
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends
  • Prior knowledge of veterinary management software is an asset
  • Prior experience in pet care is an asset
