CKF Inc. has six manufacturing facilities located across Canada, and one in the USA with a total workforce in excess of 900 employees. Our operations produce foam, plastic and molded pulp products including disposable tableware, egg cartons, four-cup carriers, display containers, and a wide variety of other products for the food service industry.

The Rexdale location is seeking Secondary Grinder/Packers working in our Extrusion Department.

12-hour continental shift schedule (2 weeks on day shift, 2 weeks on night shift, 4 days' work 4 days off)

General Responsibilities

  1. Grind extrusion scrap mill rolls into the correct silo based on color and silo levels.

  2. Grind scrap sheets and bagged material from thermoforming if reclaimer volume is too high, and as assigned by department manager.

  3. Ensure scrap printed egg cartons are grinded into black silos.

  4. Maintain orderly housekeeping in grinding area and back of extrusion area where mill rolls are temporarily staged.

  5. Ensure silos are not contaminated with wrong color product and other material.

  6. Packing in Thermoforming Department as per business needs

  7. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  1. Applicants must have good attendance and safety record.

  2. Selected applicants may be required to undergo a physical assessment

  3. Applicants need to be aware that there might be potential shift changes in order to balance out production needs.

  4. Excellent communication and written skills.

  5. Proven troubleshooting skills.
