Reporting to the Director, Cancer Centre & Ambulatory Services, the Manager of Ambulatory Services & Diabetes Grey Bruce provides strategic and operational leadership for corporate ambulatory programs across Brightshores Health System. Working collaboratively with organizational leaders, physicians, and community partners, the Manager will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive corporate strategy for ambulatory care.

This role requires a visionary leader with strong project and change management expertise to advance the strategic priorities for outpatient services. The Manager is accountable for the daily operations of ambulatory services, including financial and human resource oversight, and is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care across all program areas.

The Manager will also have direct management of the Diabetes Grey Bruce Regional Program, strategic planning/service collaboration related to diabetes and other chronic diseases with local and regional stakeholders. The DGB is a collaborative Grey Bruce Health Network program that encompasses both hospital and community providers involved in the promotion of wellness, the education of individual and families, and the management of chronic illness related to diabetes.

Qualifications

Required

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
  • Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience in an acute care setting
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, preferably in an outpatient setting
  • Leadership abilities to involve and motivate a team of diverse professionals in achieving desired results
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Traveling required – Possession of a valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's License and personal reliable vehicle
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective interpersonal relationships including effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to develop proposals and facilitate process change
  • Recent experience in Chronic Disease and Community Development
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and continuing education
  • Strong change facilitator with a proven track record of implementing effective and sustainable change initiatives while building effective teams
  • Lean Green Belt or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Excellent communicator with staff, physicians, families, and community partners
  • Experience in budget development, monitoring and reporting
  • Available for regular assignment of Hospital Administrator on-call responsibilities (assigned on a rotating basis to cover evenings and weekends)
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
  • Adherence to Brightshores 'CARE' Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and 'LEAD' Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others) and a commitment to a safe workplace free of violence and harassment
