Current Rate of Pay: Min $26.94- Max $27.82

Current Shifts: Days, 8 hour shifts

Position Summary:

The Registration Clerk provides clerical duties that are essential to the efficient patient flow in the department. Duties include registering patients, collecting data for patient identification and billing, patient scheduling and responding to patient inquiries. The Registration Clerk assists in the coordination of the efficient and effective operation of the department.

The Registration Clerk in Ambulatory Care provides clerical support to both Ambulatory Care and Cardio Respiratory Services.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  • Medical Office Administration Program certificate and/or recent related medical office experience
  • Experience working with Meditech Registration and Scheduling Module or Order Entry
  • Intermediate computer skills with 45 wpm keyboarding
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated organizational, time management and record keeping skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service when interacting with patients, families, colleagues and physicians
