Job Overview

Join our team as an Accounting Administrator and become a vital contributor to our organization's financial well-being. You'll play a key role in maintaining the day-to-day finance and business operations of our Prince George branch, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all accounting activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with experience using accounting software and preparing financial reports. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing reliable financial information to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a range of accounting tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Handle GST and payroll source deduction remittances, ensuring all filings are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports and statements.
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations, including general ledger, payroll tax accounts, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Provide administrative support across various business functions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Formal education in Business or Accounting from a recognized institution preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 accounting software and Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Working Environment:

This position is based in our Prince George office and is an in-office role. You'll work in a steady office environment with regular collaboration and support from management. You'll play an important role in supporting our growing operations and maintaining smooth financial processes.

Hours, Benefits & Pay:

This is a part-time position at 25 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity for additional hours during busy periods as workload requires. There may also be an opportunity for this position to transition to full-time employment in the future, depending on workload growth and the candidate's interest.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package (extended health, dental, and vision) fully paid by the company, along with 4% vacation pay.

Compensation: $32.00 per hour.
