Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Staff Accountant located in Richmond Hill, ON. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, assisting with audits and tax filings, and performing bookkeeping and account reconciliations. Additionally, the role will involve compliance with current accounting regulations, analyzing financial data, and collaborating with team members for efficient accounting practices and strategies.

Qualifications

  • Experience with financial statement preparation, bookkeeping, and account reconciliation
  • Knowledge of audits, tax preparation, and corporate compliance regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills for managing deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
  • CPA designation or working towards it is an asset
  • Familiarity with Canadian tax codes and regulations is highly beneficial
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
