We are a well-established boutique law firm known for delivering personalized, high-quality legal services to our clients. Our practice values precision, integrity, and efficiency, and we're looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team.
Position Overview:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the firm's day-to-day financial operations, trust accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a legal or professional services environment and must be proficient with PC Law accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledgers
- Manage client trust accounts in compliance with Law Society requirements
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations (trust, general, and operating accounts)
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including client billing and disbursements
- Generate and analyze financial reports to support management decisions
- Assist with payroll and expense tracking
- Liaise with accountants and partners during audits or year-end closings
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years of bookkeeping experience (law firm experience preferred)
- Proficiency with PC Law is required
- Strong understanding of trust accounting and reconciliations
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
