About the Role:
We are seeking a
Data Domain Architect
to join an Enterprise Architecture Team. The successful candidate will lead and consult within the information and data domain, providing expert advice in developing strategic architectural directions, roadmaps, standards, and best practices. This role will also focus on developing and communicating architectural viewpoints, models, and designs while working closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand the needs of the environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
The selected resource will be responsible for (including but not limited to):
- Developing and managing roadmaps for data architecture transformation.
- Evaluating existing data architectures and recommending improvements.
- Defining architecture standards and reference architectures for proper use of information and data.
- Driving adoption of modern data technologies and practices, such as data modelling, data integration, and data warehousing, to enhance accessibility, quality, and governance.
- Recommending new technologies to improve data management effectiveness.
- Collaborating with data management and IT teams to ensure successful delivery of requirements.
- Sourcing and documenting data requirements, determining current state architecture, creating target state architecture, conducting gap analysis, and developing a data roadmap.
- Leading efforts to identify and evaluate emerging technologies for data systems related to feasibility and performance.
- Defining and documenting architecture and technology standards, reference and solution architectures, constraints, and guidelines.
Mandatory Qualifications
The resource must have:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of
five (5) years' experience
in data architecture with proven experience designing and implementing enterprise data platforms. - At least one of the following certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals
, or - TOGAF 9 (The Open Group Architecture Framework 9)
certification.
Rated Qualifications
The ideal resource should have:
- Experience with Azure cloud services related to data storage, processing, and analytics (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Synapse Analytics).
- Experience developing multi-year technology and service roadmaps and advising stakeholders on alternatives and solutions.
- Familiarity with healthcare-related regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Experience with big data technologies in a healthcare context.
- Understanding of advanced analytics, machine learning, and their applications.
