We are seeking two passionate Educators to join our team:

  • 1 Full-Time Educator (Level 2 or 3)
  • 1 Part-Time Enhancement Educator (Level 1, 2, or 3)

The ideal candidates will have experience working with children and the organizational skills to create engaging and supportive learning environments.

Responsibilities (Full-Time Educator)

  • Create programs based on observations of children's engagement.
  • Facilitate classroom experiences and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Utilize time management skills to ensure children's needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Use positive language and modelling to motivate and engage students.
  • Perform daily tasks to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of play spaces.
  • Assess and support learners with self-help, physical, and social-emotional skills.

Responsibilities (Part-Time Enhancement Educator)

  • Provide additional support during busy times of the day (e.g., transitions, outdoor play, group activities).
  • Work alongside the classroom educator to strengthen children's self-help and social-emotional development.
  • Actively engage in children's play, from joining in physical activities to facilitating small-group experiences.
  • Offer flexibility and coverage to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming environment.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a daycare setting, with familiarity using FLIGHT as a curriculum framework (or willingness to learn).
  • Experience planning for and supporting diverse groups of children across different ages and developmental stages.
  • Proficiency in English; fluency in additional languages is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Alberta licensing requirements.
  • Ability to adapt to children's needs and interests, fostering meaningful engagement.
  • Comfort in actively participating in children's play, from sitting on the floor to joining in energetic activities.
