- and full-time care options for children ages 12 months to 12 years of age. The program offers high quality, culturally based childcare that is rooted in the learn through play philosophy.

**What we are looking for.**

We are looking for someone passionate about childcare, who has an early childhood education and hands experience in the field, preferably holding level 2 or 3 certification. If you are an educator who has FLIGHT and social emotional knowledge, works well within a team, is flexible, open minded and able to work with various age group, you are who we need on our team.

An understanding or willingness to learn about Jewish culture and traditions is critical. Hebrew as a first or second language is a definite asset but is not required. Other qualities we are looking for include the ability to relate to children, a strong work ethic, ability to communicate and work well with others, and a desire to continue learning and developing your own skills while also supporting and encouraging your colleagues to do the same.

**Position**:
We have a fulltime position available that requires a variety of skills such as observing, documenting, planning, and implementing appropriate programming that will support and scaffold the developmental needs and learning of the children while considering the families needs and the ELC’s policies and procedures.

Other requirements include flexibility to float, cover breaks and planning time, assist with diapering/toileting, cleaning, planning for individuals or groups of children, and other duties that ensure the center runs smoothly and that the physical, emotional, and social needs of the children are met.

**Qualifications**:

- Have a valid Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood or related field or be doing course work towards a diploma.
- Hold or being willing to get a valid First Aid Certificate in Child Care
- Obtain a Police Security Clearance Check with vulnerable sector search

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide room coverage for planning, breaks, absences etc.
- Establish and maintain a positive rapport with the children, families, and teammates.
- Work co-operatively and communicate openly and respectfully with all the centers' team members.
- Actively supervise and participate with the children.
- Perform all necessary regular room duties including paperwork and daily cleaning.
- Create and maintain a safe and stimulating environment.
- Attend monthly staff meetings, participate in individual and team planning, and family functions.
- Assume other related duties and responsibilities at the request of the Director and/or Program Coordinator.

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour base wage that can increase based on education and experience. Plus, Government top-up according to certification level.
