Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to support our finance team with billing, collections, and account reconciliation remotely. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and supporting cash flow operations.

The wage range for this role is $20 – $25 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, issue, and post customer invoices accurately and on time
  • Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Apply customer payments, credits, and adjustments in a timely manner
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and correspondence
  • Assist with month-end close related to accounts receivable
  • Generate AR aging reports and support cash flow tracking
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding billing and payment inquiries
  • Support the accounting team with ad hoc reporting and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is an asset
  • Previous experience in collections is preferred
