Compensation: $22.00/hr + 4% in lieu of vacation

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hrs per week)

Hours: Shifts Sunday to Thursday (2:30PM-10:30PM)

Bike Mechanics keep the bikes and related equipment safe and in smooth working order for our members. This team is expected to follow standard maintenance procedures and also apply creative problem solving to address the various technical fixes required to keep our riders moving.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance, repair, and assembly of bicycles and e-bicycles
  • Create accurate service records using software tools
  • Follow company policies & protocols, including all shop safety standards and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and storage areas
  • Monitor the communication channels of the shop team
  • Maintain a positive workplace culture, reflecting company values of passion, respect, flexibility, sustainability, and fun
  • Additional duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Experience with tools and manual repairs: fixing bikes, cars, motorcycles, etc.
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate in a team setting
  • An organized and detail-oriented mindset
  • An interest in cycling and sustainable transportation
  • An ability to load, lift, and move bikes and equipment (~50 pounds)
  • Asset: Experience with Internal gear hubs, dynamos, e-bikes, electronics, or small engine repair
