THE ROLE

We're hiring a Videographer + Editor to join our growing team at Takt Studios. This hybrid role combines on-set filming with post-production editing — crafting polished, impactful video content from concept through delivery.

You'll be hands-on with cameras, lighting, and audio during shoots, then lead editing, sound design, and colour grading in post. Experience with motion graphics or animation is a strong asset.

This is a role for a doer: someone who loves the full spectrum of content creation, brings technical skill with creative flair, and thrives in both solo work and team collaboration.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

Production + Filming

  • Operate cameras, audio equipment, and lighting for branded photo and video shoots (studio + on-location)
  • Collaborate with project managers and creative directors to capture high-quality footage aligned with storyboards and creative direction
  • Manage gear prep, setup, and strike on shoot days

Editing + Post-Production

  • Assemble and edit raw footage into polished videos for campaigns, social, testimonials, and brand films
  • Apply colour correction, grading, sound design, and music editing to elevate content
  • Create multiple cutdowns, aspect ratios, and deliverables optimized for different channels
  • Integrate motion graphics, titles, or simple animations where needed

Collaboration + Craft

  • Work closely with producers, strategists, and clients to bring concepts to life
  • Ensure all edits reflect brand voice, visual style, and project objectives
  • Contribute to creative brainstorms, pitching ideas for how to capture and edit content in new ways

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 3+ years of experience in videography and editing (agency, production house, or freelance)
  • Proficiency with Da Vinci Resolve, After Effects (motion graphics/animation a bonus), and Lightroom.  General knowledge of Figma is also an asset. 
  • Strong camera and lighting skills; experience with professional video gear
  • A sharp eye for detail, storytelling instincts, and the ability to craft content that connects
  • Comfort balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and feedback rounds
  • Collaborative spirit and a passion for creating branded content with impact

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience with 2D or 3D animation or motion graphics
  • Photography skills (shooting and editing stills)
  • Knowledge of codecs, compression, and delivery best practices across platforms

COMPENSATION

$60,000-$70,000 annually based on experience
