The Videographer/Editor (“VE”) will co-report to the Vice President (“VP”) and the Director, Marketing and Brand, (“DMB”) of FlyOver Attractions.
The VE will provide direction and production, where needed, for all aspects of supporting video and digital content projects for FlyOver Attractions. Typical projects for the VE could include complete project management of new show ‘behind-the-scenes’ episodes, sales team video content support, social media content creation, team training videos, and more.
In addition, the VE may also be part of the main FlyOver Productions film team, as needed, and will gain exposure in the production and post-production techniques for FlyOver feature films.
The VE will demonstrate expert-level project management and/or implementation (concept, production, directing, and editing as needed per project) while also participating in the production of FlyOver films, and supporting our operating attractions as required.
A passion for making a difference, while using the flying ride attraction format as a vehicle to curate meaningful and exciting guest entertainment, is one of the most important aspects of this position.
This salary range for this position is $70k-80k CAD annually based on experience and expertise, a full breakdown of benefits and perks will be provided during the interview process.
**Responsibilities**:
- Produce small creative projects with multiple types of deliverables and of various complexities, size, and budgets while working closely with, and supporting, the larger creative team
- Review of creative work during the development phase (feasibility, budget), and look for ways to maximize the level of creative execution.
- Oversee project production workflow, budgets, and deliverables in conjunction with the Senior Production Coordinator.
- Engage and manage any third-party vendors, contractors, and/or production companies.
- Develop industry partnerships, where appropriate.

Qualifications:
- Experience overseeing the full cycle of short film production from concept to editing to final product on a small scale
- Ability to confidently lead production on projects, ask questions others may not be thinking about, and make decisions
- Excellent creative problem-solving skills
- Previous work with both external production companies and internal production partners.
- Experience in all aspects of film production (concept, production, post-production, including editing)
- Relevant knowledge of web, mobile and software technologies
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Final Cut X preferred
- A creative vision that understands the importance and opportunity that a flying ride attraction presents, to tell entertaining and meaningful stories about a place, its people, and its culture.
